Shaykh Muhammad Baazmool حفظه الله ورعاه said:
It has reached me that some of the brothers warn against Ash-Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq Al-Badr - may Allah grant him safety - and I was asked about that. Therefore I say:
The Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq Al-Badr — I don't praise him over Allaah, and he doesn't need my Tazkiyyah, but I wanted to mention what I know of him:
I traveled with Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq on a knowledge-based travel and became aware of his knowledge and his love for the Sunnah and the good. I don't know from him except agreement with Ahl-us-Sunnah and sticking to the Manhaj of the Salaf.
I asked him in this travel — may Allah grant him success — about his cooperation with Jama'iyyah Ihyaa At-Turaath and the doubts and issues that some Salafi youth are circulating regarding this. So he said to me what means:
The Jama'ah sought from me lectures and they responded (and agreed) to my conditions. Therefore, I spoke with what I chose and they did not put any stipulations upon me. Knowledge is transmitted and disseminated to all those who desire it. And (as relates to this affair with regards) to me, nothing transpired from them that necessitated an (absolute) distance from them. Rather, I hope me delivering these lectures are beneficial in spreading the Sunnah and clarifying the Haqq…”
(This is what Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq said) or statements with this meaning. (May Allah grant him safety).
This man (Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq Al-Badr) is a person of the Sunnah, a religious and good man, and a man of knowledge. I ask Allaah to grant him success.
If only those brothers who warned against (Shaykh Abdur-Razzaaq) returned to him and asked him with (good) manners about his point of view (regarding this issue), then - insha Allaah - this would be good.
May the peace and blessings of Allah be Muhammad, his family and companions.
Translator's Note: This shows again how these people do not give the people of Sunnah - outside of their own group - the benefit of doubt or go to them to seek clarity, (as our beloved brother Abu Yusuf made clear in his response to Anwar Wright). Additionally, where is the returning to the senior scholars to ask about these matters and conveying what they have said instead of preceding them in speech and warnings?!
